My Macy's Holiday Parade
November 28th at 9am - Downtown Portland
The 2014 Portland Macy’s Holiday parade takes place the day after Thanksgiving, and the same day as the Holiday/Christmas tree lighting in Pioneer Square. There will be 25 inflatable floats, marching bands, Santa and his sleigh, and nearly 650 costumed characters.
30th Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony
November 28th at 5:30pm - Pioneer Courthouse Square
This beloved community tradition will feature a holiday sing-a-long with Thomas Lauderdale and members of Pink Martini, “Oregon’s Own” 234th Army Band, the NW Community Gospel Choir and many more. With a big tree, over 14,000 colorful lights and Portland’s largest community sing-a-long this is an event you won’t want to miss!
The Great Figgy Pudding Caroling Competition
December 12th at 6pm at Pioneer Courthouse Square
To celebrate 30 years in Portland’s Living Room, Pioneer Courthouse Square is resurrecting the Figgy Pudding caroling competition that was held at the square from 1992-1995.
24th Annual Tuba Christmas Concert
December 13th from 1:30 - 3pm at Pioneer Courthouse Square
Downtown will pulse with the melodic sounds of big brass as over 250 tubas play in unison for the 24th Annual Tuba Christmas Concert in the heart of downtown.
The Portland Manorah
December 16th from 5:00 - 6:00pm at Director Park
Join Chabad of Oregon for the first night of Chanukah. Children's activities begin at 5pm, lighting of the Menorah at 5:30pm, followed by dancing and latkes.
