1. Take a tour of the art at The Paramount Portland Hotel

Stroll through each guest room floor which are represented by one of Portland's moveable bridges with photography by local artist, Gary Wilson, of their inner workings and custom designed console tables along with the lobby's Portland themed art. 

2. Enjoy a light show

At night, directly across the street from the hotel in Director Park, a glass canopy subtly attracts attention via the light-art installation integrated into the underside of the structure. The installation was created by Seattle artist Dan Corson, titled “Mercurial Sky Dance.”

3. Walk in the park

We are located at the end of the leafy South Park Blocks. While on your walk stop by the Portland Art Museum (PAM) to see their sculpture garden. On Wednesday's from 10-2 during most months behind the hotel, Shemanski Park is home to Farmers Markets where you can buy produce and enjoy a few free samples.

4. Free walking tour (May-October)

The Secrets of Portlandia Tour is like a stand-up comedy act about Portland's history and culture. Laugh AND learn about Portland's fascinating evolution into the culture capital that it is today. Plus, you'll get great insider tips on restaurants, nightlife, and shopping. The Tour is FREE in the sense that there is no reservation necessary, no payment up front- if you liked the tour you can leave a tip in your tour guide's hat at the end!

5. Hear yourself Echo

This small unassuming office building lobby at 1000 SW Broadway was designed with an echo chamber. Step inside and have some fun.
